FAR WEST KAZAKHSTAN -
Birding the limits of the Western Palearctic

Join us on an unforgettable birdwatching adventure to the far west of Kazakhstan, where Europe meets Asia along the banks of the Ural River. This remote and rarely visited corner of the Western Palearctic is a hidden gem for birders, offering a unique opportunity to encounter some of the region’s rarest and most range-restricted species including Demoiselle Crane, Caspian Plover, Long-tailed Shrike, Black and White-winged Larks, Sykes's Warbler, Black-headed Penduline-Tit and Red-headed Bunting.

Our expertly guided tour takes you out into the wilderness through a striking landscape of steppe, riverine forest, and wetlands in search of iconic birds that occur nowhere else on a regular basis in the entire Western Palearctic. Whether you're a seasoned birder chasing lifers or an adventurous naturalist drawn to off-the-beaten-track experiences, this tour promises both exceptional birding and immersive travel in a little-known corner of Eurasia.
